Foreign students

Access to our Doctor of Medicine Program

Every year a number of students from both EU and non-EU Countries enroll in our Doctor of Medicine program, which is taught in Italian.  All applicants are required to pass the nationwide admission test, which is held every year in early September. EU citizens compete with Italian citizens and permanent residents for the general quota (approximately 240 places); non-EU citizens living outside the EU compete for a reserved quota of five places, one of which one is reserved for citizens of the PRC. Detailed information on enrollment for foreign students can be found at  http://www.studiare-in-italia.it/studentistranieri/

Prospective exchange students (Erasmus plus, CINDA)

Every year, over 50 foreign students spend up to 12 months at our School of Medicine to attend our formal

courses and receive practical training in our clinical services and research laboratories. We do not accept free-movers, but only candidates nominated for exchange from our partner Universities. Prospective exchange students should contact our Erasmus office https://unige.it/usg/en/welcoming-international-students as soon as possible and select a suitable course of studies for their Learning Agreement, which should be filed by July 15th for the first semester and by October 15th for the second semester.   Exchange students are welcome to any of our courses to satisfy their educational needs.  A complete list of our courses, venues, programs, and lecture timetables is available at http://medicina.unige.it/medicina-chirurgia (option Guida dello Studente) before the academic year starts.
